Monday Muse - Stevie Nicks

Muse
Definition : A person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist.

Stevie Nicks is probably my number 1 style icon of all time. A few months ago, I wore my favorite vintage black fringe kimono and my friend said "Oh my god you look so Stevie Nicks today!" Probably one of the best compliments I've ever had!

Stevie is considered one of the first woman in rock and roll by many. Growing up in Arizona and then moving to California, Stevie was the epitome of 60's and 70's west coast style. Bell bottoms, crop tops, kimonos, neck scarfs, big hats and platforms were some of her signature pieces.

In the 1974 Stevie joined band, Fleetwood Mac, which is really when her fame started. She performed with Fleetwood Mac throughout the rest of the 70's and on and off in the 80's while also coming out with a solo album in 1981.

Through the years, Stevie's style has slightly changed with the times, but she stays true to her personal style, even today at the age of 69. I hope I have as much style as she does when I'm her age!

Stevie is a style icon and muse because she was a trendsetter. She took vintage pieces and made them look modern and fresh at the time and even today.

I am pretty fearless, and you know why? I don’t handle fear very well; I am not a good terrified person.
