Some Days Suck, Here are 7 Ways to Make Your Week Better

Monday - Meditate away the Monday blues

I've talked about meditation on some previous blog posts and how much I love it. If you have never meditated before, PLEASE try it, especially if you are feeling anxious or have had a particularly stressful day. I think most people who aren't familiar with it think that the only kind of mediation is sitting in silence thinking about nothing and that is such a misconception. There are various kinds of meditation and if you are just starting out, I would recommend guided.

Here are some of my favorite mediation apps : Simple Habit, Calm, Insight Timer & Headspace

Tuesday - Wake up 30 minutes earlier to make a big breakfast

One of my favorite ways to give myself some good vibes in the morning is to wake up early to make myself a big breakfast. Open your windows and let the sun help you wake up. It gives me energy for the day and makes me so much happier because I don't feel rushed and can actually enjoy the morning.

Wednesday - Write down a list of to-do's in the morning and cross them out when they are completed

Seriously, write it down, don't put it in your phone notes. I don't know about you, but there is something extremely satisfying to me about crossing out a completed task. You will be more productive when you actually see what you need to finish in front of you and you will feel a lot more accomplished at the end of the day.

Thursday - Go on a lunch time walk

Most of my readers are either working or in college, so I know you deal with the same issues that I do. On my lunch break, sometimes I just want to sit and eat, but getting outside and getting your body moving is one of the best things you can do (definitely eat too though!) Sometimes you just have to step away from your desk and get some fresh air. It will definitely change your mood.

Friday - Do a bedtime yoga routine

I LOVE yoga. It's amazing for your body and your mind. It's proven that doing a bed time yoga routine can help your sleep substantially and I can definitely vouch for that. Stretching is a great way to get rid of the stresses you've accumulated during the day. Yoga With Adriene is one my favorite Yoga Youtuber because her videos are always really easy to follow and they seriously relax me! And this one is only 7 minutes!

Saturday - Have a spa night

I loveeeeee having weekend spa nights. Turn on a citrusy candle to brighten your mood, put on some good music and use one of your favorite face masks. Not only is having an at home spa night a great way to save money but it's also a super fun thing to do with friends or your significant other. Jaye and I love spa nights!

Sunday - Make a delicious and hearty homemade meal for 2

Grab your boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, husband, or wife and make a homemade meal together. Not only will you have something delicious to eat, but you'll be able to spend some quality time doing something together. Sundays are a day to rest and in my opinion, spend almost the whole day in my pajamas.
