The Most Instagrammable Places In New York City

NEW YORK, NEW YORK. One of my favorite cities in the entire world. And probably the most Instagrammable place in the world. New York is mostly known for it's classic landmarks like The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building and Central Park. But, in this post I wanted to talk about some of the lesser known spots around the city; the cutest restaurants and the best places to snap an Instagram photo.

Two Hands is one of my favorite cafes in all of New York. What can I say? I love delicious and pretty food! It is bright, airy and has a wonderful beachy Australian feel about it. All of their food is so colorful, so it looks perfect on your feed. Have an acai bowl and some avocado toast because they are both incredible.

Music, food and booze; what's not to love? Tokyo Record Bar is an underground 18 seat bar and plays music off of a vinyl jukebox. So basically it's the coolest place ever. They also have a prefixed menu of incredible Japanese food to have while you drink and listen to tunes. It's also extremely cute and cozy. I've never been, but I definitely will make a reservation the next time I am in NYC.

The Statue of Liberty is definitely a sight to see if it's your first time in NYC. But one of the things most people don't mention is how incredible the view of the city is from the island. Also, the views that you get on the boat ride over. So when you go to see the statue, make sure to turn around a look at the view of the city as well!

The Dumbo area of Brooklyn is one of my favorite parts in all of New York. It's filled with cobblestone streets, red brick buildings, small local bars and has incredible views of the Brooklyn Bridge. If you find yourself in Dumbo, I would recommend going to see Jane's Carousel right on the dock because it has amazing views of both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Also head over to Vinegar Hill House for dinner and drinks. It has an old-timey New York feel and it's very cute.

The Cereal Milk Ice Cream from Momofuku Milk Bar is probably the most Instagrammed dessert in all of New York, and rightfully so. You heard me correctly, deliciously sweet Cereal Milk. There are 9 locations scattered around the city, so you are always a stones throw away from one of the Milk Bars. I would definitely recommend the Cereal Milk Ice Cream (if it's not too freezing outside), the Crack Pie and the Salted Pretzel Cake.

Happy Bones is one of the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops I have ever been to. If you read my post on The Most Instagrammable Places In San Diego, this coffee shop reminds me of a New York version of Coffee & Tea Collective. But be aware, it's tiny. But very very Instagrammable.  Try a latte or a delicious flat white. If you love coffee, you'll love it here.

I am someone who loves urban gardens. A beautiful garden in the city is basically my dream. The High Line is a nearly 1.5 mile park built in the middle of the city on top of old overground subway tracks. And it's very cool. You can take some incredible photos all along the walkways and there are always some new art installations to check out. It can be a bit touristy, but it is definitely worth it.

It's a movie theater, candy shop, book store and a restaurant all in one fabulous place. Housing mostly independent and classic films, the Metrograph takes a lot of pride in the film experience. The restaurant is great and if you love movie theater snacks, the candy selection is incredible. If you are a film buff and want a nice day out, head here!
